A substantial and very flexible detached family house occupying a mature position in a village location. The extensive accommodation on both floors provides ideal family living accommodation throughout with four reception rooms incorporating the kitchen breakfast room, lounge, formal dining room, study/office and benefitting a from utility room with internal access into a double garage with ample loft storage. Further to that there is a well-appointed conservatory serviced from the dining room and lounge that provides beautiful views of the private landscaped garden with double opening doors onto the patio area. The first-floor accommodation is of equal merit with four double bedrooms of which three have built in wardrobes and a family bathroom, the master bedroom also has its own en suite and an ideal outlook on to garden. Of note, the property also provides ample drive way parking for several cars and excellent side access reaching into the back garden.
The property occupies a prominent and convenient location with a short walk from the centre of the village of Four Marks. The active village of Four Marks stands within fine Hampshire countryside between the villages of Medstead, Ropley and Chawton. Four Marks has a very strong community with a primary school, parade of shops, hall and church. The market towns of Alton and Alresford provide a comprehensive range of facilities including a good range of individual shops, cinema, sports centre, two secondary schools, 6th form college and railway station to London Waterloo at Alton. The well renowned Perins secondary school is at Alresford.
"When we moved in around 23 years ago it was all about the excellent local schools (the primary school is about a 20 minute walk), a nice garden for the children to play, space for a growing family... and the peace and quiet of Blackberry Lane. We like that the local shops, the bar at the excellent fff brewery (enjoy a quality beer, wine or gin!) and events or classes at the Village Hall, are all just a short walk from the front door. The village has convenience stores a doctor, baker, florist, wine merchants.... and more. To the immediate south of the Lane is lovely countryside that can be reached via footpaths from the Lane, with the South Downs National Park beyond, a beautiful area that we've enjoyed exploring on bikes and walking."
